Low-E Coating

Energy-Efficient Windows

Our ProVia Energy-Efficient windows are a great choice of replacement for your home, and one of the best times to install a new window is when there’s broken glass; you would need to replace the window anyway. Our energy-efficient windows are Energy Star certified and greatly reduces air infiltration.

An energy-efficient window consists of durable, low maintenance framing materials that help better insulate the window. It consists of two panes of glass with an air or gas-filled space in the middle to help with the insulation. This also increases sound insulation and impact resistance, helping to prevent a broken window in the future.

If the space between the panes of glass is filled with gas, it’s usually krypton, argon, or some other non-toxic gas that’s odorless and colorless. An energy-efficient window also has a spacer helping to keep the glass apart, and non-metallic or metal hybrid spacers reduce heat transfer through the windows.
